President Barack Obama or say Obama’s 2012 Campaign, now officially joined Tumblr and had a +1 to his collection of major social networks. Obama known as social media President for the way he used networks such as Facebook and Twitter to galvanize his supporters during the 2008 election.

The new Tumblr sees Obama expand his reach, with a less formal approach though social media still waiting for his Quora, Ning and MySpace. Read more

[ White House ] - President Obama on Economic Bus Tour

On Monday August 15th, the President will travel to Minnesota to begin his three-day economic bus tour in the Midwest. The arrival of Air Force One at Minneapolis-St.Paul International Airport is open to pre-credentialed members of the media, but closed to the public. After arriving in Minnesota, the President will host a town hall event in Cannon Falls, Minnesota at Lower Hannah's Bend Park.

The economic bus tour will also feature events in Iowa including a Rural Economic Forum in Peosta as well as events in western Illinois. While in the Midwest, the President will discuss ways to grow the economy, strengthen the middle class and accelerate hiring in communities and towns across the nation and hear directly from Americans, including small business owners, local families, private sector leaders, rural organizations and government officials. The President knows we must do everything we can to promote economic growth, restore confidence in our nation’s future and enhance the sense of optimism for future generations.
