Google turned the new feature "real-time web traffic" on Thursday. For the first time Google is providing real-time web traffic with Google Analytics Real-Time. Real-Time reports are available for view in the new version of Google Analytics and administrators with Analytics accounts will get Real-Time reports.

For users trying to gauge how a campaign or post is performing, Real-Time will track the immediate impact to site traffic. If a user posts something and then tweets about it, for instance, Real-Time will track when traffic from the tweet stops driving visits.

There's no more need to thing of is Google a search engine or a social network as after developing a Google Plus it made its status change to a Social Network. Google by introducing Google+ tried to over come blackhats manipulated search results and incurring trust busting authorities.

Spoke person Google had said, “Google will study the clicks on +1 buttons as a signal that influences the ranking and appearance of websites in search results. The purpose of any ranking signal is to improve overall search quality. For +1’s and other social ranking signals, as with any new ranking signal, we’ll be starting carefully and learning how those signals are related to quality.”

There as well Google’s interest in incorporating +1s into its search ranking algorithm might also explain Google’s hard line position in the so-called Nym wars. Google is being adamant that users of its new social networking tool use their real names. In its zeal to root out fakers and people using pseudonyms, Google has deleted legitimate profiles and raised the ire of those who defend the need for pseudonyms on the internet’s identity platforms.

Google and Facebook have both released updated social networking apps that make it easier for users to share posts and content with people. Facebook's iOS version 3.5 brings friend and location tagging in posts, external link sharing from a web view, new Profile and Group Walls designs and improved sharing tools that let you adjust privacy controls on posts from your mobile.

The updates reflect many of Facebook's recently implemented web-based privacy enhancements and offer iOS user interface and design changes that bring the overall look and feel of the app closer to the desktop version of the site.
