[ Google+ ] - Traffic Went Up 129% Last Week
Statistics show that almost 90% of internet users have Google+ as their home page. Even if not so, you must have seen the black bar appearing on the top of Google.com. No, you weren't hallucinating. It was a sign of something about to show itself. Something big. Yes, Google+.
Is Google+ a destination like Facebook.com? Is it a social network? Is this an identity play? The answer to those questions is yes and no. Google’s Gundotra said that this is the first step by the company in its long social journey, which is going to evolve.

Google+, launched in late June, had 25 million unique visitors as of July 24 and is growing at a rate of roughly one million visitors a day, comScore noted in a presentation.
It took Facebook about three years to attract 25 million visitors, while Twitter took just over 30 months.
While the data show Google's latest attempt at breaking into social networking has started strongly, it may not mean the project is a long-term success. MySpace grew to 25 million unique visitors in less than two years faster than Facebook or Twitter. However, it's lost a lot of visitors in the past year.
The United States had more than 6 million unique visitors, and India more than 3.6 million.
Canada and the UK had around 1 million unique visitors each, Germany over 920,000 and Brazil just over 780,000. France and Taiwan each had around 500,000.
Google+ One Month Later: What’s Next?
It's been exactly one month since Google+ made its debut. The social network was designed to be more than just Google's response to Facebook;

As Google SVP Vic Gundotra told us before launch. After the failure of Google Wave and Google Buzz, Google+ is the search giant's last best chance to grab a piece of the social-networking pie.
